At 611am Engine 341 was dispatched for alarm bells at 1804 Metzerott Rd. While enroute Public Safety Communications advised Engine 341 that they were filling the box for reports of a fire on the roof. Engine 341 arrived on the scene with fire showing from the 5th floor of a 5 story apartment building. After setting up hose lines the crew along with the crews from Engine 921 and Truck 92 advance an attack line into the fire apartment where they found fire on the balcony with extension into the cockloft. The crew put a quick knock on the fire and then performed extensive overhaul operations. No one was injured in the fire. Montgomery County Battalion Chief 1 was the incident commander.
