Around 0230 on Saturday morning, the Bomberos were alerted for a reported apartment fire at 6733 New Hampshire Avenue. While enroute, additional calls were received for a store on fire across from that address. Units arrived on scene to find heavy fire showing from a storefront at 6822 New Hampshire Avenue (people who are in Inman's age group may remember it as the Allen Theatre). The crew from Truck 34 went to work on side charlie and forced multiple doors before the incident was declared defensive. The crew then set up the ladder pipe and enjoyed the wonderful December weather for about two hours. The fire would end up going to three alarms before the night was over.

Two days later, the Langley Park High-Ladder hit the road to College Heights for a reported house on fire on Partridge Ln. Units from 12 and 1 arrived with heavy fire showing from the #1 floor. The Bomberos arrived as the second truck and split into two crews. The exterior crew laddered all four sides of the house while the interior crew entered the 2nd floor via a window and completed a primary search, which was negative. The crews encountered heavy fire conditions on the 2nd floor before all units were evacuated due to water supply issues. The truck would later operate on the #1 and #2 floors before returning to service. The guys made a quick stop at Dunkin Donuts for some refreshments before responding back to quarters to hang out with the Ambulance. 8 firefighters from various companies were injured on this fire, however all are expected to make a full recovery.
