Even the medic calls are interesting around here. Engine 343 and the Ambulance were dispatched for an assault in progress around 1600 hours. Units from the CAVFD arrived to find an apartment chock full of people who had been beaten up, including a priority one stabbing. The crew tended to the multiple injured people and patched up the abdominal eviscerations (both of them) of the stabbing victim. All in all, two of the occupants were transported and the Bomberos returned to service.
Later on in the afternoon, while the Engine was already on a call, Truck 34 was dispatched to the infamous New Hampshire Ave and University Blvd for the pedestrian struck. This intersection has been the site of many serious accidents over the years. However, today the Bomberos found a gentleman who had been tapped by a vehicle in the parking lot and only had minor injuries. He was, however, sporting an awesome MCFRS baseball cap, which the crew from ambulance 702 thoroughly enjoyed.
