Engine 343 is a 2006 Seagrave Engine, with a 1250gpm Waterous pump and a 500 gallon booster tank. Both Engines at the CAVFD carry 4 preconnected attack lines ranging from 200 to 400 feet in length. Aside from the hose, pump, and water, CAVFD engines are traditionally ordered without all of the modern bells and whistles, to keep the focus one one thing: putting fires out! This engine was numbered in honor of the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.
